Roaming

Roaming is the service that allows you to use your mobile phone while abroad to make and receive calls, surf the internet, send and receive messages and use applications. But be careful, do not confuse it with international calls. International calls are when you are in Spain. Roaming calls are when you are outside of Spain.

Yes. Your roaming is active by default. If you want to check, activate or deactivate it, you can do it from My Adamo (web/APP) using the configure button for the mobile line in the products section, as shown in the video.

You can also contact us by chat or by free phone at 900 651 651. The change can take a few days to take effect.

Keep in mind that for countries within the European Union and the European Economic Area it is as if you were at home, but the rates outside this area may vary.

You can check our roaming rates here.

Whenever you travel within the associated countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United States of America*, you can use the data, calls (with destination and origin within that area) and messages included in your rate at no additional cost and; only subject to reasonable use of data based on the GB of your rate. For example, if you travel to France you can call Spain, France or Italy with the national calls included in your rate. Watch out! Some European countries are outside the agreement and roaming has an additional cost; you can check it in the article: What are "Roaming Zones"?

You can check the international call rates applied here and the Roaming rates here

In the case you are travelling outside Zone 1, you have a pre-established limit of €30.

If you need to modify it, please get in touch via chat or call us free of charge at 900 651 651.

The consumption of data in Roaming in Zone 1 is subject to reasonable use and is regulated by the Reasonable Use Policies.

These Reasonable Use Policies included in the EU Implementing Regulation 2016/2286 to regulate the proper use of Roaming in the EU, determined a limit of data consumption in roaming.

In Roaming, "Zones" are used to group agreements that exist at the European Union level and the rest of the world. These can be summarized as follows:

 • Zone 1: These are all the member countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. In these countries the usual rates of Spain apply and there are no additional charges:

Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Martinique Island, Reunion Island, Iceland, Italy, Latvia , Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal (Madeira and Azores), United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden and Spain.

 • Zone 2: Rest of Europe, United States of America* and other countries.
They are not included in the Roaming agreement and have an additional cost in case of use:
Europe: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Serbia, Monaco, Macedonia, Montenegro, Switzerland and Turkey. Africa: Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. America: Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico and United States of America* (Currently, due to the fact that some US states have dismantled the 3G network and that our lines work with 3G service, this incompatibility means that at the moment there is no voice service in the US.)

 • Zone 3: The call cost in these countries is the highest:
Asia, Oceania and the rest of the countries of: Africa, America and Europe.

Roaming is any call made  while connected to a foreign operator, outside of Spain.

International calls are calls made from Spain to any mobile or landline that is not Spanish, and they always have a cost outside your rate unless you have contracted an international bonus.

Yes, 4G technology is available when roaming. So when you travel abroad you can also enjoy the same speed.

This is because in some US states, the 3G network has been dismantled and all calls are made through 4G. Our lines work with 3G service, so temporarily at least this incompatibility means that there is no voice service.

You should, however, be able to navigate normally.
