Most of the operators usually offer between 100 Mb and 300 Mb so our offer is at least 3 times the upload and download speed. With 1000 Mb most clients have enough.

You can take a speed test at fast.adamo.es or here. We recommend that you do the test connecting the computer by network cable, since it is the technology that allows the highest speed.

If you have an Amazon Eero 6 Router you can also access the Eero App and from the 'Home' option you can launch a test and check the speed you receive.

Try, whenever possible, to bring the router closer to the area from where you most connect. If you connect via Wi-Fi from the whole house, put the router in a central place, more or less high (like a shelf of a bookcase) and that does not have elements that reduce the coverage (metal shelves, walls, columns, etc). It is recommended to move the router away from cordless phones, microwave appliances (yes, the one in the kitchen!) And other Bluetooth wireless appliances (such as audio and video devices) that may cause interference.

If it is a two-story home, it is recommended to install the router on the ceiling of the lower floor or near the floor of the upper floor (depending on the floor for which you want to guarantee a better signal). Its placement is better, obviously, in the floor where it will be used the most.

In homes with three or more floors, the middle floor is always the best solution, and the stairwell is an excellent option to avoid losing coverage.

At registration/installation you do not have to pay anything for the installed equipment, although in case of service termination the equipment must be returned.

If you are already a customer and want to change your router, please write to us at cliente@adamo.es with your information and we will help you. 

In the event that you decide to cancel your Adamo contract and the equipment is not returned, an additional cost of € 133.10 will be invoiced for the Genexis router or € 161.05 for each Eero device you have installed (if you have contracted the Smart Wifi service, you will have up to two Eero routers installed).

The router broadcasts two WiFi networks at the same time, one of them guarantees compatibility with older equipment at the cost of lower speed and the other, whose network name ends in _5G, is faster and resistant to interference. We recommend that you connect to the 5G network whenever your computers detects it.

Yes, of course, you can change both the network name and the password, although we recommend not changing them so you can easily consult it on the router sticker.

We work with fixed IPs in bridge or routed:

  • Fixed IP in BRIDGE: Allows you to configure a different device through which the connection traffic passes, instead of going through the public IP. It is less secure since it gives a direct connection to the internet, but it allows the configuration to be much more flexible and you can configure and manage your own internal network by putting your own equipment behind our connection.
  • Fixed IP in ROUTED: It gives the possibility of having a static IP, so that the IP will not vary over time, and allows the connection traffic to pass through the LAN ports of the Adamo router, which will establish the network security protocols necessary for your connection to be secure.

Adamo uses the 'MixedWPA / WPA2 + AES' encryption standard by default, which is the most secure encryption standard for Wi-Fi networks today.

We recommend that our customers take a basic security precaution: change the password. Write as long a password as possible.

A new password will be not only more secure but also easier to memorize.

If we have fiber coverage in your new address, you can make a change of address while maintaining the same contract conditions.

You can keep your landline if the change of address is within the same province.

Keep in mind that appliances, tiles, kitchen walls, mirrors and in general large metal surfaces such as shelves or formwork walls limit the propagation of the signal. Try to place the modem away from these items. We recommend that you place the modem at a height of at least 150cm from the ground whenever possible. In this way, the propagation of the signal avoids going through low furniture, cupboards or sofas, and you can gain a few meters of coverage. To check the received WiFi signal, consult the WiFi signal icon of the network, it is reflected with some bars.

It may be because there is a breakdown in the service or because the installed equipment has broken down. Please try to turn off the equipment installed by Adamo, the router and the ONT (if you have it installed) for 2 minutes. Then turn on the ONT first and after a minute the router. First of all, do a speed test to verify that the problem is at your end and not at the server that serves the web.

If you detect a reduced speed, check that when doing the test you do not have many programs or applications open/running (windows, browser tabs) or more than one connected device (computers, mobiles, tablets), because in this case the test would not show the real speed. Also keep in mind that if your computer is old it may not support all the bandwidth, and therefore you may receive less bandwidth. A network cable connection will also help you get better speeds than via WI-FI.

We recommend that you always connect the console by ethernet cable to enjoy the maximum speed.

For optimal use of the console it is necessary to open some ports, indicated by the manufacturer itself.

You can also connect the console to ethernet port 4, which is in bridge mode (single port), and it will have a direct connection to the Internet without NAT functions. The ONT will only function as a 'bridge' between the console and the Internet.

Note: it may be that depending on which games it is necessary to redirect additional ports.
